Happy New Nepali year 2077 BS our calendar generally based on the movement of the moon, always happens on the spring, traditionally I don't remember celebrating ever in my family when I grew up.........maybe the celebration is just for nature as they bloom or maybe for the riches as they always hope to find some reason to celebrate. but still, to see new leaves, new flower, clear skies is already a great realization of change. however, these days its widely celebrated in cities and around the country especially amongst Nepalese people. a most common way of celebrating with family is cooking and eating delicious food....mostly something with meat (chicken/ goat, buffalo, pig or fish). for the young people in the cities, it has been very common to party all night in and around Thamel (a tourist backpacking hub). since our country have lots of mountains, slowly visiting small hill stations for sunset and sunrise is getting cherished. after all, I like looking back and thinkin
